Commercial Portfolio Manager I

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual in this position will assist the Bank's Commercial Relationship Manager(s) by performing all duties associated with the Commercial Relationship Manager position as assigned by the Commercial Relationship Manager. This will include completing activities to help analyze new opportunities and close the loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures. The individual will also assist in maintaining and servicing existing customers as well as ensuring that credit quality guidelines and policies are met and monitored. Assist the Commercial Relationship Manager by requesting and obtaining all information needed from the client or prospect to underwrite the credit request; assist the Commercial Relationship Manager by working jointly with the credit department to appropriately underwrite the credit, and to develop the appropriate credit structure in relationship to the credit risk; assist the Commercial Relationship Manager in the monitoring of the portfolio which includes but not limited to financial tracking and monitoring maturing notes/annual reviews; conduct business in compliance with bank policies and procedures, as well as all federal and state laws and regulations; participate with the Commercial Relationship Manager in meetings with primarily existing clients at either the customer's place of business or at the bank offices; participate in discussions and subsequent meetings with commercial lending department, industry specialists, and other interested parties to exchange information and ideas, and to seek to understand the opinions of others. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: BA or BS degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or Associates degree plus 1-2 years applicable experience, 2+ year(s) of relevant commercial credit experience required. REQUIRED SKILLS: ability to research and understand commercial and commercial real estate lending and banking regulations, ability to deal effectively with customers and all levels of the bank organization, excellent oral and written communication skills, previous commercial credit analysis required WORK SCHEDULE : Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. BANKERS TRUST HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION "Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer" "Protected Veterans" and "Individual with Disability" Pre-employment drug screen required.
