Automotive Technician

Under the direct supervision of the Service Manager, is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards and policies of Willis Auto Campus. Essential Functions Diagnose mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality using testing equipment and road-tests Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, performing tune-ups, checking fluid levels and rotating tires; replace or repair worn parts, including brake pads and wheel bearings using common hand tools. Disassemble and reassemble parts Complete all associated records and reports timely and accurately Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary training program preferred ASE certification required; minimum of 3 certifications required, 5 certifications preferred 1 Year customer-service experience preferred Valid driver's license and ability to be insured Working knowledge of proper use of hand tools Intermediate customer-service skills Ability to demonstrate above-average mechanical and troubleshooting skills When applying for this position, please mention you found it on JobDig.
