Multimedia Support Officer (AAS-ITS-04)

Category: Professional Support | Department: IT Services | Closing Date: 08 May 2016 | The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is seeking to appoint a Multimedia Support Officers to join our multimedia team in IT Services. The team are responsible for providing a range of multimedia production and presentation services across the School, including event support, filming, lecture recording, photography, technical support, maintenance and dedicated studio work. The post-holders will assist with all aspects of these services and will have primary responsibility for lecture capture: including scheduling, editing and uploading recordings to the School VLE Moodle using our recording software Panopto. They will also be required to carry out some audio recording/editing of lectures.  The post-holders will act as first point of contact for customer enquiries via our Helpdesk software, Footprints. They will be required to liaise with customers and advise them on the best multimedia services and solutions and to assist with planning events and co-ordinating the multimedia team calendar. Some out of hours working to support evening events will be required.   Applicants should have excellent customer service skills, together with relevant experience. Candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in an audio-visual or related multimedia technology field. These are newly created posts in order to support our expansion of multimedia services and increase in lecture recordings. The posts will provide excellent opportunities for those with a background and interest in pursuing a career in multimedia wishing to develop and broaden their skills and experience.   This post is fixed term for one year.
