IT Training Officer (AAS-ITS-05)

Category: Professional Support | Department: IT Services | Closing Date: 15 May 2016 | The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is seeking to appoint an IT Training Officer who will be responsible for the delivery of a range of IT training and support to staff and post-graduate students at the School. The role-holder will also be required to produce and maintain guides and documentation in a range of formats, including web-based and multimedia resources. The role holder will join a small training team based within the Digital Services group in IT Services. They will be required to work closely with departments and services across the School, including Talent and Educational Development, the Project Management Office and the Division of Education, in order to identify, develop and deliver required training. Training and support is currently offered for in-house business systems including the Agresso finance system and the School content management system (CMS), MS Office applications, EndNote and various specialist programmes to support the research and teaching at the School. The IT Training Officer will also play a key role in supporting the introduction of new and recent initiatives such as O365, Outlook and SharePoint.   Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a background in developing and delivering high-quality training in the above areas. They will also have experience of producing learning materials and supporting documentation in different formats. Experience with O365, Outlook and SharePoint is highly desirable. This is a varied and interesting role which would suit applicants with a training and support background in IT wishing to broaden their knowledge, skills and experience.   This appointment is fixed term for 1 year and will be made on LSHTM’s Professional Support Pathway Grade 5, with a starting salary of £32,647 to £37,477 per annum inclusive of London weighting.    Applications should be made on-line via the LSHTM website at: http://bit.ly/1Cy4nnZ.
