The City is seeing a Human Resources Director to transform the department into a stronger resource and stra-tegic partner for internal stakeholders and to firmly situate the City as an employer of choice. The Human Resources Director is responsible for de-partment staff and organizing, managing and ad-ministering the City's personnel systems and services. This position provides professional consultation, technical guidance and develops responsive resolution, as appropriate, in all areas of hu-man resources including performance management, compensation, training and workforce development, personnel-related law (state and federal), organizational development, and dispute resolution. The HR Director functions as the chief negotiator for contract negotiations and administration and is a primary driver of desired work-place culture. The HR Director serves under managerial direction from the City Administrator and Deputy City Administrator. This dynamic position requires flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This position also operates as a working manager and participates in all aspects of the day-to-day operations and processes of the Human Resources Department.
