He/she will have prior experience with violence prevention and/or biomedical interventions trials that involve vulnerable women or girls and substantial overseas research experience, ideally in one or more countries where SAME has strong research collaborations (South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and India).   The Senior Lecturer post will be a full-time appointment for one year in the first instance and based overseas. Salary is on the Academic Pathway, or scale 8 from £52,895 - £60,712 per annum inclusive.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year for all staff.  In addition to this there are discretionary "Director's Days".   Applications should be made on-line via our website at http://bit.ly/1Cy4nnZ.  Any queries regarding the application process may be addressed to jobs@lshtm.ac.uk.     An academic CV, list of publications and the names of three referees, who may be approached immediately, should also be included with the on-line application.  Potential applicants are encouraged to contact Professor Charlotte Watts (charlotte.watts@lshtm.ac.uk) or Professor Graham Medley (graham.medley@lshtm.ac.uk).   The supporting statement section should set out how your qualifications, experience and training meet each of the selection criteria.  Please provide one or more paragraphs addressing each criterion.  The supporting statement is an essential part of the selection process and thus a failure to provide this information will mean that the application will not be considered.  An answer to any of the criteria such as “Please see attached CV” will not be considered acceptable.
