Global Banking Payments Specialist

This position will prepare and process cross-border payments by various methods, and provide daily support to Global Banking Trade Specialist, Global Banking Sales Officer, and Global Banking customers. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Input and process all cross border Fedwire and S.W.I.F.T. (**Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) wire transfers (incoming and outgoing), foreign drafts, consult with customers to determine most direct path to beneficiary on payments, as well as review against, primary Concern Countries list, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and feasibly identify possible fraud; process foreign banknote transactions for customers and employees through FX Teller and distribute fee income and expenses to appropriate branches; process foreign cash letters (foreign items deposited by customer), process all work and run End-of-Day process by 4:00 p.m. daily, balance Due From balances against End-of-Day Report to ensure foreign accounts are within bank's allowed limits under Bank Policy & Guidelines, assists Global Banking Trade Specialist with identifying and growing new and existing business base within the private banking and retail client base, ensure that the **S.W.I.F.T. system is available 7 hours a day, and assure that Axeltree, the **S.W.I.F.T. service bureau, is providing **S.W.I.F.T. services as required, maintain procedures on all aspects of duties. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE : High School or GED Equivalent, 3+ years of Banking experience, International banking experience preferred but not required. REQUIRED SKILLS : Oral communication skills, written communication skills, PC skills, Excel, Word. Power Point, 10 - key, typing skills (60+ words per minute).
