Sammamish Public Works Department is recruiting three (3) Maintenance Worker II positions for the Streets, Stormwater and Parks divisions. Candidates should possess strong customer service ethics, be team-oriented, enjoy working outdoors and be enthusiastic about joining a busy Public Works Department Maintenance and Operations team. Under supervision of the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible for performing general and specialized road, sidewalk, sign and marking, parks and drainage maintenance duties as assigned on city infrastructure and facilities.
This is a journey level position which will operate a range of medium and heavy equipment and provide support for special events and may perform duties of similar complexity in other maintenance areas (such as parks facilities) as required or assigned. The Maintenance Worker will construct small parks and public works capital improvement projects. Because of the small size of the city staff, each staff member is expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties at a high level as may be required from time to time.
