Project Module Coordinator: Distance Learning MSc Epidemiology (0.6 FTE) (DL50)

Category: Academic | Department: Faculty of Epidemiology & Population Health | Closing Date: 12 Jul 2015 | The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) delivers a Masters in Epidemiology through distance learning (DL), and students undertake an independent research project in their final year. We would like to recruit a part-time Project Module Coordinator (0.6 FTE) to organise the Project module, working closely with the academic course team, the Course Directors and the Support Office Administrators.  In particular, the post-holder will be supported by two or three academic staff, acting as Project Organisers.  The post-holder would be based at LSHTM. Applicants should have a postgraduate qualification in epidemiology, statistics or a related field and experience of teaching and/or teaching management at postgraduate level.  Experience in supervising MSc projects is also needed as well as conducting epidemiological research.  Experience of distance learning teaching would be an advantage. The post presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in applying their management and academic skills to further enhance a popular and well evaluated course. The post is available from 1st August 2015 and is currently funded for two years.  The appointment will be made on LSHTM’s Grade 7 Lecturer scale £43,312 – 49,582 pro-rata per annum inclusive.
