Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Electrician must be able to: Install and maintain equipment in compliance with NEC, NFPA, IBC and state and local building codes ; Repair breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance for various electrical controls on programmable logic controllers, welding machines, manipulators, travelling cranes, etc.; Perform control panel assembly, wiring and connections ; Perform troubleshooting on electrical wiring and components to ensure proper machine operation and develop new technology applications to resolve equipment problems ; Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor ; Work on different projects such as mounting panels and modifying lines; Complete testing and quality inspections using multimeters and other equipment ; Perform various tasks or projects as required by management. Typical Industrial Electricians work does not include mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic-related tasks, but in some occasions, the candidate could be required to participate in such work or project. Training in instrumentation and controls and/or automation, is not a prerequisite. Experience in such field can be considered an asset.
