Primary Objective(s)

Provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis of sales for the FindLaw business, and also the corresponding expense, capital, and FTE resources that support the Sales organization. As part of the FindLaw Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will be expected to partner cross functionally and vertically within the organization to execute a deliberate set of accountabilities that support the overall goals of the FindLaw business. Primary responsibilities include the supporting of monthly reporting and analysis, expense and cost center management, planning and forecasting, sales exceptions, and other ad hoc analyses.

- Provide and support the monthly analysis and reporting on FTE’s, sales, expenses, and capital spend for the FindLaw Sales organization.
- Partner across the organization (Finance, Sales, Sales Ops, Product, Performance, Account Management, Commissions) to drive enhancements and simplification into all processes.
- Identify historical trends, and develop planning and forecasting assumptions based upon historical trends and business assumptions. Maintain and update financial planning models and templates based upon these trends and assumptions.
- Identify risks and opportunities to the financial plans and forecasts.
- Maintain and streamline/enhance sales metrics reporting (attainment, performance by tenure, new product sales, etc.).
- Prepare monthly journal entries, drive the close process, and analyze financial results.
- Assist with creating management presentations and monthly business review presentations. Highlight key financial and operational insights.
- Validate and compile historical data to develop trending analyses and other key business metrics.
- Drive for simplification in the sales exceptions process. Review and remediate pre- and post-sale exceptions.
- Lead the calculations and subsequent variable compensation payments for levers maintained outside of Varicent. Keen eye for details to ensure payments are administered accurate and timely.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus applicable business experience required
- 3+ years demonstrated progressive financial experience and responsibilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills. Proven ability to communicate with and present and relate to various levels of management internal and external to the organization
- Highly-motivated, independent, professional, self-starter with proven ability to collaborate, streamline, influence based on common objectives, and drive results in a fast-paced, global environment
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong functional understanding of financial reporting (SAP and BW/BEX preferred) and planning/forecasting systems (Cognos and Hyperion preferred)
- Strong streamlining focus as part of your core mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement effective and meaningful solutions
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative, and investigative skills
- Ability to effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively work with partners across time zones
- Highly accustomed and adept at preparing professional presentations and related content
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
