Supporting our Customer Services and Business Systems teams, we provide account management and email administration support to over 2000 staff and students. We operate a mixed Novell and Microsoft environment, centred around eDirectory, Active Directory, GroupWise, Office 365 and Exchange. The Directory Services Officer is a new post. Reporting to the Desktop and Software Services Manager, you will be involved in - the advanced administration and maintenance of the IT user and email accounts for all staff and students within the School. - on-going analysis of account lifecycles and associated processes in order to determine and devise automated creation and maintenance regimes. - development of our in-house identity management and authentication systems - establishment of end-user self-service and work-flow enabled tools and technologies You will be educated to at least A-Level standard and have practical experience of administration of email and user accounts. You will also likely have and active interest technology and follow the latest trends in computing. The post-holder will work independently as well as with other epidemiologists and statisticians on the national cancer survival statistics as well as research in pursuit of the aims of the Cancer Survival Group.
