Consumer Lending Assistant II

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide consumer lending support to all Retail & Private Banking markets, consisting of preparing and mailing disclosures, loan document preparation, underwriting, denials, regulatory oversight, Title review, property evaluations and appraisal reviews. Prepare consumer loan documents, prepare disclosures; Provide direction and coach lenders in underwriting and compliance; coordinate all loan requests for document preparation for timely closings; underwrite and approve applications for credit presented by lenders within the loan approval authority assigned; review lending decisions for denials, and prepare and mail Adverse Action Notices to applicants; obtain and review Title Certificates, Attorney Opinions, appraisals, and Flood Determination reports to determine BTC collateral position is secure on consumer loans; review appraisal reports to determine that comparisons provided by appraiser are reasonable and justified; complete Property Evaluation Forms to establish values on real estate collateral; provide back up support for Laser Pro & DecisionPro System Administrator functions. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma or equivalent, 3+ years relevant accumulated experience. Experience: 6 - 12 months preparing and/or reviewing appropriate loan documentation desired; experience in consumer lending underwriting - 12 to 24 months desired. REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS: Knowledge of consumer and real estate loan documentation' understanding and experience in Consumer Lending, understanding of lending regulations, knowledge of transaction processing - (Laser Pro System); knowledge of the FIS Host System, knowledge of the Info Access System, PC skills- Word and Excel, Knowledge of Novel Outlook, good communication skills, both written and verbal, good organizational skills. WORK SCHEDULE : Full Time; Avg.
