Business Systems Analyst I or II

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Business Systems Analyst's chief role is to help the business and operations units with the identification of cost-effective technology and process solutions, by determining the requirements of a desired solution or outcome, and communicating them clearly too all stakeholders. They will elicit requirements from all impacted stakeholders, review operational processes and either update and/or create new processes as required. They will lead the planning and execution of all testing activities to ensure the desired solutions and their processes meet stakeholder expectations. In addition, they will: Work on assigned tasks to isolate specific problems that may be acting as impediments to progress within the business applications; assist in the definition of technology solutions for assigned business problems; act as a liaison between the business units, Information Technology, Operations and vendors when working to identify the appropriate solutions; act as a subject matter expert on the technology solutions deployed with the completion of assigned projects; assist with the development of business cases and cost analysis; prepare system/solution specifications. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : 4-year degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years' experience in a financial institution working with the technology solutions utilized within the Business Unit supported or their equivalents. Could include the following systems: Core, Loans, Collections, Deposits, CIS, Platform, Teller, Internet Banking, Bill Pay, ACH, Item Processing, ATM's and Card Processing, Data Warehouse, Imaging, Treasury Management services; 1-3 years of experience with business analytics, testing procedures, report writing, business process design or equivalent processes. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must possess strong leadership skills; must possess the ability to analyze and resolve problems; must possess the ability to research findings in an organized and coherent manner; must possess the ability to assist in the preparation of written reports summarizing research findings and recommendations; must have strong customer service skills; must have excellent written and oral communication skills; must have strong meeting management skills; must have strong interviewing skills; working knowledge and understanding of bank operations, including deposit operations, loan operations, electronic banking, and cash management services preferred; working knowledge of the U.S. payments systems and financial networks preferred; working knowledge of Banking Software Applications preferred; working knowledge of Banking/Financial Institution regulatory requirements preferred. WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. SPECIAL NOTE: Grade will be based on candidate's experience; subject to Executive Committee approval.
