Accounts Payable Specialist I or II

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal function of this position is to provide support to the Accounts Payable area in the Finance Department. Open, distribute and stamp mail; file Invoices for Accounts Payable; prepare and code invoices to be entered on accounts payable software; research for Accounts Payable; be back up for the other Accounts Payable Specialist; help with projects; customer Service to employees & vendors. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma or GED, one year Accounts Payable Experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, Excel and 10-key by touch very helpful. WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. SPECIAL NOTE: Grade will be based on candidate's experience; subject to Executive Committee approval.
