Are you an enthusiastic and talented recent law school graduate looking for an exciting first job that will allow you to be in court on a regular basis?  If so, consider applying to be the next Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Bellevue.  The ideal candidate for this entry-level position will have a passion for criminal law, a self-starter mentality, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with limited oversight.

This position will be responsible for the prosecution of all civil infractions for the City, and it requires frequent court appearances in Bellevue District Court.  Strong verbal and written communication skills, a high level of organization, and superior interpersonal abilities are a must.  The successful candidate will be able to work professionally and cooperatively with other members of the prosecution division, the Bellevue Police Department, judges, and the defense bar.  Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated self-awareness and cultural competence.Depending on the needs of the prosecution division, this position may also assist with the prosecution of misdemeanor criminal charges, including appearing at preliminary court hearings and/or drafting legal memoranda and briefs.
