Door to Door Canvassing Representative with Iowa Public Television (IPTV). Donor Development Strategies is running the first ever neighborhood canvass membership building and fundraising campaign for IPTV, our local public television station. We are looking for folks that are passionate about public media to go door-to- door and engage the public about Iowa Public Television (IPTV). IPTV has been an essential community resource for decades. It provides millions of viewers with in-depth news coverage, early childhood education, and great entertainment. Its ability, though, to provide unique programming to the state of Iowa relies heavily on member support-- which is why we are building a community outreach team to bring thousands of new members into the fold. Canvassers get out into communities all over Iowa, identify those who support IPTV and sign up members for the station, all while gathering important program and demographic data to enrich our understanding of the IPTV audience. We are currently hiring full and part time positions for our team and we are committed to growing our team drastically. We provide all necessary training so no fundraising or canvassing experience is required. For those with a background in fundraising, canvassing, or community outreach; we are looking to fill leadership positions in our offices as Field Managers. FMs are an essential part of the office leadership team who lead a team of three to five staff members every day, train new staff, and work closely with the Field Office Directors to drive the success of the campaign. Staff members are encouraged to ask about additional leadership opportunities such as cross-training in newly launched offices across the country or running your own project as a Director. CANDIDATES SHOULD BE: Awesome communicators. Enthusiastic about public media. Self-motivated & Goal orientated. People who want to make a difference. FIELD MANAGER CANDIDATES SHOULD BE: Experienced at fundraising or similar position. Motivated to help our project grow. Great at training and motivating others. Highly responsible and detail oriented. COMPENSATION: Canvasser base pay is $10.00/hour , plus weekly fundraising bonuses. Field Manager base pay is $13.00/hour, plus weekly fundraising bonuses.
