L'Italiano; An Authentic Italian Eatery We have opened a new, authentic Italian restaurant in downtown Des Moines. It is a novel concept new to Des Moines and is an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a chef from the Piedmont area of Italy with extensive experience (15 years) in this region's food and culture, as well as a strong culinary background. The chef must show a proven track record at managing a kitchen, hiring and maintaining a staff, ordering and organizing the food, supplies, and miscellaneous of the kitchen, maintain accurate books in regard to same, create and implement authentic dishes from the Piedmont region of Italy, and accurately train all staff in the nuances required to create the only authentic Italian eatery in the Des Moines area. Additionally, the chef must work well within an organization, be willing to take direction from the owners, be willing to direct the staff as needed, both praising and reprimanding when applicable, be reliable, dedicated and enthusiastic, and be a team member.
