Account Verification Representative

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Under the direction of the Deposit Operations Manager, this position is responsible for Account Verification functions for the bank. This position conducts account research on customer DDA accounts to verify banking relationships used for credit applications, housing applications, and any other legal transaction requiring bank validation. Requests are received through a variety of places; each needing different and specific information. Attention to detail is a critical skill used to protect both the bank and the customer from disclosing inaccurate or unauthorized information. This position will also handle the records of all Charged Off accounts turned over to a collection division. Must perform superior customer service while working with our customers. Conducting research and updating discrepancies in multiple systems and assist in resolving issues. Complete all verifications following all regulations. Verifying proper authorization and information was provided before releasing information. Maintain all appropriate department logs for archived information pertaining to verifications and charge offs. Complete all new charge off requests. Process all payments on charge off requests. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma, 1 year of operations experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: Communication Skills - Speaks and writes clearly and effectively in a variety of communication styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect, Customer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customer; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with officers and gains their trust and respect. Organizing - Can pull resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner. Problem Solving -Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all possible sources for answers; can see hidden problems; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers.
