Elementary School Counselor

This position is responsible for providing crisis intervention, individual, group and limited family counseling, and information and referral to elementary students and their families.  Other activities may include classroom presentations and guidance, Alternative Recess, and consultation to staff.   Students are referred by school personnel, counselors, parents, other students and by self-referral.  Services are provided on site at Mercer Island Elementary Schools.  There is currently one counselor per school building.  This is a Full-time (40 hours a week) ten (10) month position to coincide with the school year.
