Category: Professional Support | Department: Department of Global Health and Development | Closing Date: 12 Mar 2016 | The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, an internationally renowned centre for research and postgraduate education in public health and tropical medicine, is seeking to recruit a Programme Assistant to work with the Health Economics and Systems Analysis Group (HESA), including the Communicable Diseases Policy Research Group based in Thailand. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the research activities of HESA through assisting with funding applications, diary management for Professor Kara Hanson, organising travel and meetings, supporting short courses and undertaking other administrative activities. An ability to communicate effectively, especially with those based away from London, and work as part of a team is essential. Also we are looking for someone who is proactive and has good IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of Moodle, CMS and WordPress would be an advantage, along with an understanding of developing country issues. This post would suit someone who has good basic administration skills and is looking to develop their career in an interesting and varied environment.
