ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : The Compliance Data Specialist is primarily responsible for the data integrity of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) data. This position will assist with preserving compliance with other lending related laws and regulations, particularly Fair Credit Reporting Act and Equal Credit Opportunity Act for adverse action notices to loan applicants. Preparation of the HMDA and CRA data for submission by March 1st and manage the HMDA and CRA reporting process, Investigation of automated (QuestSoft) system reported exceptions for both HMDA and CRA data to seek necessary corrective action. Maintain records of daily reviews that check accuracy of HMDA and CRA data, Serve as a back-up for Compliance Officer II, particularly in areas of HMDA and CRA data reporting and compliance with the Flood regulations. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE : Associates Degree preferred, 1-3 years of banking experience with exposure to or knowledge of various areas of banking and banking compliance preferred, experience with lending and relevant laws preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS : Knowledge of consumer lending and audit procedures preferred, knowledge of banking laws/regulations preferred, ability to work and think independently, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, competency using Word and Excel, excellent organizational skills, ability to work and think independently.
