Title: VP Finance Corporate Segment, Tax & AccountingOverview; Corporate Segment is one of the largest and fastest growing business in Tax & Accounting. It is ~450M business growing at double digits serving large corporations for their tax needs. It is very dynamic and nimble business.Description:The Head of Finance functions as the Managing Director’s business partner, working directly with him to drive growth both organically and through acquisitions, to plan the Segment’s future strategic direction, and to help operate the unit on a day-to-day basis.
Works in conjunction with Tax & Accounting’s Central finance team to ensure accurate and appropriate treatment of all financial activities related to the business. Analyzes and interprets variances and reports trends. Directs Corp Segment’s finance team.

1. Takes responsibility for all financial matters related to the Segment, either managing them directly or by working closely with the Business Leadership team, Functional leaders, and finance counterparts throughout Tax & Accounting2. Is the analytical right hand to the MD, provides objective and accurate information, forecasts of the business, enabling the best decision making by the MD and the Management Leadership team.

3.Analyzes and interprets financial information pertaining to Segment’s performance. Makes recommendations concerning business policy, resource allocation, and business operations to drive financial performance. Alerts the MD and other key executives to trends in the financial performance of various businesses that may require management action.

4. Helps to steer the overall strategy and culture of the business as a member of the Management Executive Team and as part of the Tax & Accounting’s Finance Leadership team.

5. Forecasts capital requirements. Identifies and analyzes capitalization. Helps the organization make resource allocation decision using business cases (classic financial analyses such as ROI and DCF/NPV).

6. Provides analysis and leadership to ensure that we use pricing to our best advantage to drive revenue and profit.

7.Participates in the financial evaluation of acquisition/divestiture opportunities and develops recommendations concerning them.

8. Develops and maintains appropriate financial organization. Establishes standards for performance and assures that the finance team is properly directed. Develops staff through continued learning and development and cross training of personnel to ensure growth in capability of the finance resources and a solid succession plan for the Tax & Accounting finance organization.

Other Duties:
As the "right hand" of the MD, the Head of Finance duties includes working on operational issues and other duties as assigned by the GM or Tax & Accounting CFO. It will also include substantial involvement and responsibility for building long term business model, quarterly forecasts, the annual Budget, and other monthly reporting presentations.Role also involves operational execution of defined strategies and business plans, including developing and implementing robust metrics & measures across a variety of business initiativesRole requires heavy interaction across a broad variety of functions that are critical to driving business performance, including Sales & Service, Product Development, Strategy, Marketing, and Business Development

Qualifications:
Education: College degree required and graduate degree or certification in business or finance (such as MBA or CPA) strongly preferred

Experience: Professional experience required with building and managing a finance team.Critical experience includes: demonstrated success as a finance "business partner" with executives or executive staffs; experience as the lead or a senior finance executive for an operating organization; knowledge of accounting principles and their application; experience thinking strategically and building business development plans.
Additional experience desired: experience in software or SaaS and familiarity with subscription business model.

- Clear, effective communicator who is comfortable presenting to large audiences
- Deadline and detail orientated with an ability to drive and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good commercial deal support skills
- Strong financial modelling, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong influencer with the ability to interact and influence senior level management in all regions
- Experience of working in a complex matrix organization.
