For more general information on the work of the laboratory, please go to: http://bit.ly/1Mn1dbs The post holder will be expected to use reverse genetics system to make infectious clones for orbiviruses, mutagenise targeted gene in infectious orbiviruses and analyse their effects in virus replication.They will undertake protein analysis and purification and contribute to research by setting up experimental systems as required. The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent in Molecular Virology and VLPs. Experience of baculovirus multi-protein expression and purification, orbiviruses and virus-host interactions is essential. The post is funded by the BBSRC until 31st October 2016 and is available from 6th May. Salary is on the Academic Pathway Grade 5 from £32,647 to £37,477 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting).
