Description

This position is responsible for supervising a team of financial analysts and implementing complex special offer contracts including pricing and content strategies that are in accordance with and in support of the field, segment, content and product owners. This involves supervision of a 3-5 person team where there is frequent communication with personnel from several functional areas, especially CVM management, Sales and Account Management (SAM), Contracts Counsel (CCM/Legal), Strategic Marketing, SAM Finance, New Product Development, Order Fulfillment, Product & Pricing Services, Commissions and Billing. The position provides financial analysis and supports program recommendations relating to price level contract performance, competitive win-loss reporting and other ad hoc analysis as requested by Finance/Strategic Marketing management. The supervisor will be called upon to lead projects, improve processes, provide training related to special offer processes and help to ensure all daily operations are met.

Primary Responsibilities Include: (but are not limited to)
- Supervise a team of 3-5 financial analysts. Create a positive work environment and provide team support and training for a defined set of accounts. Monitor work load of team to maintain appropriate balance and provide decision making and support to manager that is responsive to customer and employee needs. Hold regularly scheduled meetings with team.
- Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews. Track team member performance, write performance reviews and lead performance management discussion with team members. Develop, motivate and coach team members to meet individual and department goals and support of department’s business systems. Act as an employee advocate providing timely reward and recognition as well as constructive feedback.
- Calculate, analyze, price and implement complex special offer contract new/renewal process, including the gathering of account-level information in cooperation with SAM, analyzing usage/revenue trends, customer content needs and market pricing trends. Work through implementation issues with Order Fulfillment, Product & Pricing Services, Commissions and Billing to ensure appropriate account set-up and billing.
- Work with Strategic Marketing and content and product owners to develop and implement pricing/content programs that lead to optimal contract sales and renewals. This includes providing feedback about the current market environment, implementing segment programs and working through implementation issues as programs are expanded and fine-tuned to fit market needs.
- Actively identify then lead or participate in cross-functional teams and projects to assist in driving increased quality, process improvements and standardization and business system enhancements. Participate and drive acquisitions and integrations of new products and processes into CVM.
- Provide leadership on use of multiple business systems including a contract management database, a pricing model database, and a contract management workflow and metrics system.
- Act as an advisor and trainer regarding the performance and direction of all special offer contracts and processes. Help ensure department adheres to SOX reporting and compliance.
- Work collaboratively and positively demonstrate boundary-less behavior and maintain high-quality professional relationships with all business partners. Attend meetings with business partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in business, finance, accounting or other relevant major required; or equivalent business experience
- Four to six years plus of progressively responsible experience in a finance and/or contract management and pricing environment
- Previous progressive people management/supervisory experience preferred
- Good leadership skills. Proven ability to motivate, train, coach and provide feedback
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with various levels within the organization, including senior leadership
- Ability to show initiative, motivation and the ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; detailed oriented
- Ability to work extended hours as required
- Proven ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple and complex projects, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced service-driven environment
- Strong experience with use of Excel, Business Objects, and other Windows programs.
