4-Month Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Worker

Under the direction of the Parks Resource Supervisor, maintain assigned City buildings, facilities and adjacent grounds in a clean and orderly manner; perform a variety of duties to assure that buildings and related equipment are maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.

Perform minor repairs to buildings, fixtures and windows; replace switches, outlets, light bulbs; report major repair and maintenance needs and assist other maintenance and grounds personnel in making a variety of repairs as required.

Perform minor, routine maintenance in various building trades including plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting; perform general and touch-up painting. Adjust and arrange furniture, tables, chairs and equipment; set up facilities for special events and meetings as assigned.

Inspect doors, windows and assigned areas for vandalism; report safety, fire hazards and vandalism as appropriate.

Operate a variety of equipment and hand and power tools used in general maintenance including plumbing tools, vacuums, pallet jack, boom lift, paint sprayer, nail gun, blower, electrical testing equipment and a variety of hand and power tools.
