Welding Operator

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will: Set up and operate arc welding machine as specified by blueprints, layouts, procedures, and operating charts. Enter operating instructions into computer. Operate laser-beam machine. Tack components to be welded by the welding equipment. Read production schedule and specifications to ascertain product to be fabricated. Position and adjust fixtures, attachments, or workpiece on machine, using hand tools and measuring devices. Inspects metal workpiece to ensure specifications are met, using measuring devices. Transfer material using moving equipment. Remove spatter with manual or power equipment as necessary. Clean and keep in repair workpieces and welding machine parts. Perform daily welding equipment maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned. You will work rotating shifts, a schedule that allows multiple days off in a row.
