Description

We are looking for a Financial Analyst I for the Sales Compensation Administration team to perform sales commission transaction activities 50% of the time (or more depending on workload). Sales commission transactions include manual docs, fallout and closing queries as well as tickets and BAR adjustments. All transaction must be completed in a timely manner to meet critical financial and settlement deadlines and accurately in accordance with sales compensation plans and documented workflow. This individual must exhibit accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to recognize and solve problems with commissionable sale transactions.

The other 50% of the time (approximately), this role is also expected to perform process duties of a more complex nature up to and including researching transaction or system issues, interacting with internal and external business partners and implementing resolutions based on solid understanding of the full end-to-end system. This individual will also be responsible for drafting metrics, charts and analysis for internal review as well as business stakeholder meetings and can perform ad-hoc projects as needed to support the business.

This role is a development role, with the expectation that the individual has the ability to rotate in 18 to 24 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Follows documented workflow to process manual docs, transactional fallout and audit queries with accuracy and in order to meet critical deadlines.
- Interprets and applies compensation plan rules to daily transactional work.
- Accurately calculates BAR adjustments based on appropriate compensation plan rules.
- Escalate exceptions to supervisor as appropriate.
- Accurately interprets and applies Special Offer and Special Handling files based on documented workflow and compensation plans.
- Proactively identifies and communicates transactional data issues to management.
- Understands and communicates the impact to TR of transactional or system issues.
- Collaborates across SCA functional boundaries to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the transactional process.
- Accurately ensures consistent application of crediting rules.
- Provides customer focused, professional and proactive communication to internal teams and external customers.
- Assists in maintaining department documentation on a as-needed basis.
- Handles more complex transactions, which require solving problems and interacting with the customer. These may be one time in nature including incentives or promotions or unique to the traditional workflow.
- Proactively and independently conducts research, can determine the nature of issue and takes steps to resolve the issue.
- Utilizes Excel or PowerPoint to prepare analysis or charts for internal review or stakeholder presentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required
- 0-2+ years of related experience
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong acumen and understanding of end-to-end systems and processes
- Strong systems skills with proven ability to learn new applications and previous experience using SAP, Access, Excel, and Power Point
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources
- Ability to adapt to change
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
- Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment
