Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Buyer must be able to: Develop and implement sourcing strategy for products and various services; Negotiate agreements, prices and deliveries with suppliers; Work with planning, production and maintenance teams to optimize supply chain; Determine purchasing needs (material or subcontracting) for entire plant; Complete quotation requests, purchase material/service and track orders; Participate in the elaboration of purchasing department performance objectives and put in place concrete actions to meet goals; Meet various manufacturing, distributor and supplier representatives; Manage non-compliance related to purchases.
