The TR Corporate Technology Finance team is a business partner in the dynamic area of technology relating to the strategy and support for Data Center, Tech Infrastructure, EBS, Mobile, ISRM, and several other technology groups. PRIMARY OBJECTIVESThe Lead Analyst will be a strategic business partner to some of the fastest growing and most strategic areas in technology, including Mobile, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Governance, and several others. You will have significant interaction with the senior leaders of these groups, as you partner closely with them to drive their critical business strategies. Key responsibilities include business case preparation, financial modeling, financial forecasting and reporting, decision support, strategic initiative reporting, and process improvements.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITYThe position is responsible for the financial management of $70M in annual cash operating income.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Provide strategic business partnership to the senior leadership of Mobile, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Governance, and several other groups to drive strategic decision making
- Lead the monthly and annual planning & forecasting activities for above groups and provide insightful variance analysis to leadership team to ensure financial targets are achieved
- Prepare and present business case and financial information to key stakeholders across Thomson Reuters’ businesses, and provide monthly project tracking of performance.
- Partner with corporate and business unit technology operations and finance teams on financial analysis, business metrics, financial reporting, special projects, and new business opportunities as appropriate
Qualifications
Education
- Undergraduate business degree in finance or accounting, CPA or MBA preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- May be responsible for the leadership and development of one direct report
- Self-directed in accomplishing tasks, anticipating problems and presenting solutions
- Proven strength in both oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver formal presentations to senior management and large groups in a professional, concise and direct manner.
•Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business
environment
- Team player, open to ideas and embracing change
Previous Experience
- 7+ years in financial roles within finance or accounting, with proven upward progression
- Strong experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, planning and forecasting and management reporting
- Strong PC skills with proven ability using Cognos, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP & BEX experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands and ability to adapt to change
